    Hi

Irish Citizens cant use the EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) also called E111 in Russia...right?

If not; is there any equivalent type card/scheme that Irish Citizens can avail of for use in Russia or is it case you need to have own travel insurance or travel insurance cover on your private health insurance policy

    Thanks

No reciprocal health care agreement with Russia and if you are travelling there, sufficient travel and health insurance cover are an absolute necessity.

Health insurance valid in Russia is a prerequisite for a Russian visa to be issued.
