HKC 1070 factory defaults

Can someone let me know how the factory reset jumper works on a HKC 1070? Do I need to remove the jumper power on the panel and that clears it, shut it down and then put the jumper back?

Power down the system & remove the link.
Power up. If presented with default scroll down to default codes & press YES.
Replace link & work away.
