Not for your mammy apart from Mobdro, Replace the dish and get it reset. Under 100 euro. (She is your mammy)

    The story is long....

UTV was available in the Republic of Ireland on cable for just under fifty years. It sold advertising here and once was the second most watched TV channel in the country after RTE One. After TV3 came along and did a deal with Granada (predecessor of ITV) it saw that position massively eroded over time as TV3 had the same programmes and a better EPG position. So it hatched a plan. It decided in 2014 to set up a separate Republic of Ireland service and outbid TV3 for the rights to ITV programmes. It got cable companies to remove UTV Northern Ireland and replace it with UTV Ireland, which is why it is no longer available here. UTV Ireland was a massive failure and it lead to a break up of UTV, with its NI operation sold to ITV, UTV Ireland to Virgin Media and its remaining operations to News Corp. When Virgin Media took over UTV Ireland they removed ITV2 as well because most of its programmes were being shown on 3e (now Virgin Two). ITV3&4 are still there.

There is no (legal) way around it except to put up another dish. You can’t tune in channels on cable, you only get what you pay for.
