    Hi all,
Brought in a nice 2017 outlander 4hs from UK at the weekend.

    I have two queries

Can I change the odometer from miles to kilometres either in menus or with an odb2?

Does the car have a data connection so that an app can communicate with the car? If so what app should I be using?

There is a connection just to the right of the steering wheel that takes a adaptor. I use phev watchdog app.

I haven't figured out how to change miles to km, other than on the range reading. Bit annoying. It says i have 40km ev range left, but that im driving at 60mph and have driven 70k miles.

    Hi,

    Nice one,enjoy it.

You can change the odometer only on the digital side, the multimedia display and guessometer.
The trips and total counter, very fcuking peculliar, stays in miles.
    Same,with the speedometer,very often i drive at 60 miles thinking is 60kmh...

It has a mobile app that talks with his own built-in wireless network.
You will need the wireless name SSID adn password from the official vehicle bookset.
Download the app from same small piece of paper by scanning the QR code and follow wizard on the app.
I tried on mine, didn't work,i gave up.Apaprently is something to do with version 1 of the app rather than version 2 or the length of the wireless password more than 14 digits. Didnt had time to play with... maybe it needs to deregister previous phones.

If you have a bluetooth dongle, there is a nice app that gives you access to lots on inside techie stuff but you can't change too many parameters, mostly "read-only".

To answer your future Qs,please see H E R E the mega thread.

    Take care.
