    Hi there,

Is there a maximum age at which someone can get tax relief on payments into a pension fund? e.g. a 74 year old in employment wishes to pay an AVC into a PRSA already set up. I’m aware of the restriction on amount of tax relief i.e. 40% of NRE for over 60 year olds.

On a side note, if someone receives a P45 in August 2018, do they still have until 31 October 2019 to pay an AVC into a PRSA and claim tax relief.

    TIA for any help,
    Hcksaw
