Bought a Medion laptop in Aldi a while back. It came with 2GB and Windows 10 but has always been slow.

Going to bite the bullet and wipe windows.

Want to put something on it which will run well with 2GB, the only real requirement I have is that it runs Chrome or another Mozilla based browser.

Normally I'd put Ubuntu on it but am not sure how well the latest versions of it will run on 2GB.

    Any suggestions ?

What's is the CPU and chipset.

Only then you'll know which will be best suited to it.

You'd be best looking for someone who has done it and what they needed to do.

    check out https://distrowatch.com/
there are light weight options, but not sure of laptop seems it could use extra 2gb memory, anyway list providers quite comprehensive list with cons and pros, some distros are like 300-1gb in size but getting apps like chrome can be tricky on some of those.
