    Hi All,
I’m in the process of deciding on the tf wall build up to go with for my story and a half self build and would like advise or feedback based in experience with the following wall build ups.

Option 1: 100mm block outer leaf, 50mm cavity, breather membrane on 9mm osb, 150mm stud with 150mm pir in between studs, atm, 50mm pir board, 38mm service cavity batten and 12.5mm plasterboard.

    Option 2:
100mm block outer leaf, 50mm cavity, breather membrane on 9mm osb, 225mm stud with 220mm Isover Metac in between studs, atm, 50mm pir board, 38mm service cavity batten and 12.5mm plasterboard.

When you say self build are you getting a timber frame company to do the PIR timber frame in a factory?

Edit: with timber frame, ensuring insulation continuity is a challenge when stick building on site.

Yes, the tf company will factory fit the insulation between the studs in both options.
