Hi, looking for recommendations as to where to go for a family holiday with young kids plus cycling for the upcoming mid term, end of October. Would the Mediterranean islands still have decent enough weather that time of year or would you want to go to Spain/Canary islands.
Id need to rent a bike while out there

Found Salou to be a great spot for family cycling, Cambrils or Sanguili resorts have loads to do for the kids and cheap enough that time of year (approx €400-€500 total for 7 days accommodation).

Fly into Reus airport and you are 10 mins away from both resorts, as well as all the onsite pools and activities in the resorts there's Portaventura/Ferrari land and a huge water park all on your doorstep.

The cycle along the beach in Salou all the way up to the town is great or you can cycle from Salou to Cambrils town. They do cycling tours too depending on kids ages, might be something to look at.

October weather there is generally good 20°+ during the daytime.

I go to Lanzarote a lot to cycle. Meet lots of people out with families who head out early and back by lunchtime for plenty of family time.

Tonnes of alternative hotels and bike hire places in porta Pollenthough if that's where you want to go. - No guarantee of good weather remember. Could be unlucky. They had storms and flash floods there that time last year. Plus 19 degrees ish is lovely for cycling but it's not quite warm enough for jumping in outdoor unheated pools. Canaries would be a safer bet for sun.

Just factor in the wind in the canaries not long back and most days was 30km to 35km headwind opting to go out into it and return with a tailwind...Very warm but the wind took from the cycling.
Roads where safe enough but the locals gave you a wide berth but the tourists in hire cars didnt..
