Replacing Headband Audio Technica ATH-WS1100

Hi guys, posting on behalf of a friend of mine, probably a long shot though. As the title suggests he is looking for a replacement Headband for the Audio Technica ATH-WS1100, the swivel bracket holding one of the ear cups snapped. He says he can find a part for the M50 model but not the one for his. He has also reached out…

Hi guys, posting on behalf of a friend of mine, probably a long shot though.

As the title suggests he is looking for a replacement Headband for the Audio Technica ATH-WS1100, the swivel bracket holding one of the ear cups snapped. He says he can find a part for the M50 model but not the one for his. He has also reached out to the manufacturer but they are only offering him the option to send for repair and will not answer if a spare part can be acquired. Anyone able to point in any direction?

I'd send it to Audio Technica for repair/replacement - doesn't look like they were popular enough to have grey-market parts.
