Dead Face ID

    Anyone had Face ID just stop working all together, error message if you try turn it on?

    What's the error message? Have you tried restarting? Is your front camera working?

    Yeah I have restarted, restored etc. Front camera is fine, error is Face ID not available

    FaceID doesn’t use the camera so the fact it works doesn’t mean faceId will.

    No but they are co-homed in the same internal unit as the front camera. It was the first question 2 repair places I asked today asked as well. One place said the only time they have seen it the front camera was dead as well so they are a bit puzzled by this.
