    1. There were works taking place outside my property recently and there were barriers left behind, can these please be removed?

    Please send the following details and we can follow up on this matter for you:

    - Name;
    - Address;
    - Contact number; and
    - The date of the works that took place.

    2. I live in an apartment block and I am concerned that the tank feeding my apartment is not secure. Can you please advise?

    Irish Water is responsible for the public water network and as this is occurring internally in your building, this would fall outside of our remit to resolve.

    We would recommend that you contact your building management company regarding this as they will be able to investigate and conduct any necessary repairs.

    3. I have a shared waste pipe that is getting blocked. What are my rights regarding removing the pipe and getting all properties to connect to the mains directly themselves?

    Shared supply pipes on private property would be the responsibility of the land owners. If you are interested in applying for a new waste water connection, you can do this online here. Any other new connections will be up to the individual household owners.

    4. I am awaiting to get connected to the public mains. Why is there a delay?

    Please PM us with the following details and a member of our team will look into this for you.

    - Your full name;
    - Contact number;
    - Full address of the property;
    - Application reference; and
    - Date of application.

    5. How to turn off the water at the mains?

    You can temporarily turn off your supply at the outside stop valve, which is located in the boundary box next to your water meter.

    If you do not have a water meter attached to your property, the outside stop valve should be located just outside your property by the driveway.

    Further details on how to turn off your water at the boundary box is available on water.ie.
