Looking for a pto driven post digger or are they a waste of time ?

    I have winter planned putting in concrete stakes, 80hp tractor would the above machine be a good help. Could get a lad in with mini digger but have lots to do and would like to work away myself

    Used one here for a while and thought it was a great job (was borrowed from the BIL). But it is a pig to take on and off tractor, you'd need to build a frame where you are going to keep it to make the job easier.

    If you could get a hydraulic driven one with reverse option it would be ideal as I've heard of them getting stuck in stoney soil and needing to get dug out.

    Really depends on the purpose of the post. Definitely concrete for gate posts or unbraced strainers.

    Yea I've one for digging graves, just one way, but always easy to wriggle it out by hand.

    Yea, petrol auger used in graves that we have no digger access.
