Hi lads. I'm very very interested in this 2003 Saab 95 Aero.

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/sab-95-aero-270-bhp-new-nct-sept-20/22169016

I've checked with my insurance and it bumps my premium up by about €300 so it's not too bad. I had a 2006 Saab 93 Aero for nearly 2 years. I absolutely loved it and massively regret selling it. I really love the look of these generation 95s. Am I mad in this day and age to be considering it. I'm currently driving a 08 Ford Focus 1.4 and I hate the bloody thing. Need more space and power..

Seems like mad money to me for what it is given its age but I'm no expert on old Saab values.

Looks very clean and nct is legit.
Not worth that money though unless they have developed a following.

It seems a bit steep but 95 Aero's in manual are rarer than hens teeth..

Nice car. Id offer a grand and let faith decide then.

Yeah, it's a nice car, it's pretty saleproof though, you could be thr only person in the country chasing a car like that. I wouldn't want to insult the seller but I'd probably start at €750-800.

It's pretty sad that we now have been conditioned into thinking a 300 quid insurance increase is 'not too bad'.

It’s had 5 owners not 2 as the ad says, imported from uk in 2011 with 44,000 miles and its 250bhp not 270...... last 2 owners kept for less than a year and its untaxed since April..... be careful it’s not a lemon

Cheers for the info. I actually rang up a guy I know who's a saab specialist and asked him about the car. He knows the car and says there is a new engine in it. The engine is absolutely perfect as he sold it. Mechanically the car sounds spot on and the guy selling it sounds very decent, knows his saabs. No harm in going looking but yeah, I'll have my eyes wide open.

I love Saabs and this is a great looking one with good spec and low mileage, should be good as long as its been looked after.

I bought a 2005 Volvo S60 2.0t petrol over the weekend - 1 owner from new, full service history, 7 months tax, 4 months NCT and 4 new tyres 260k kms.
I paid €550! :D - I know its not an Aero equivalent but its a nice car. So my 2C is to go for it.

Out of curiosity where did you get that information from? Cheers

I saw you mention on the bangernomics thread that you are going to go for it!! Beautiful car, just love that shape 9-5, and an aero. It'll probably break your heart but you'll love it even more for doing so. It's just what Saab's do to you!! Well wear.

Dang I missed it before it sold, any chance of a photo of the Saab...? :D

Cheers. I had a look at it yesterday and instantly fell in love. Reminded me of how stupid I was to sell my 93 Aero. The power out of this is incredibe. Once I get the Focus sold I'm collecting it.
