(been about 8 years since I made a trip like this myself so even though I know the in’s & outs of fetching a van & bringing her home I’m hoping someone out there on boards has more recent Auctions experience to share...)

I’m trying to rescue a family member who is currently off road (& risking his livelihood by being so) due to engine catastrophe :(

He got hit by two whammy’s in a row & kitty is badly dented so I’m trying to help him out. I can stretch to €13k tops for him so it’s tight. I know from my own past experiences that I could maybe get him much better value for his money (and reduce his loss) at auction across the water.
happy at either Manchester or London end no bother for me just long as not out in sticks somewhere like Norwich etc.
looking to sort him a fresh 2014-16 non abused historied lwb high roof Crafter/Sprinter/Nissan/Transit so he gets a couple of years peace back on the road & doing what he’s good at.

suggestions appreciated (both good & avoid)

    thanks

    2.0hdi Peugeot boxer.

Pretty simple reliable and economical vans.
They aren't very powerful but can cruise along just fine all the same.

Fiat Ducato 2.3 worth a look too. They tend to have an easier life than the likes of a Spinter. There are a lot of clean ones going through the auctions. You’d easily get a 2016 within budget.
