So I'm working in a job that finishes on the 28th of October. I started the job in March and will be back in the same job again next march.

I will be entitled to a tax refund in January when I apply for the p21. (I've done this other years)

I'm going abroad for 8 weeks in January. So I'll be unemployed in Ireland for November and December. If I claim social welfare for this period will it affect my p21 in January?

Jobseekers Benefit is a taxable source of income so any potential refund could be reduced by the tax due in this income. Jobseekers allowance isn't taxable and will have no impact.
