Edision PICCOLLINO Satellite Issues

    Hello all,

I've just put up a standard satellite dish connected to an Edision PICCOLLINO S2+T2/C pre-programmed box for FTA UK Channels, very much a DIY job. Pointed it at 141/142 degrees SE (using my phone compass to align it) as recommended for Astra 28.2E, the dish is vertically level, didn't use a satellite meter, its mounted on the chimney so have zero obstructions. Initially I got a signal and all of the channels came up. Really great quality, ITV HD was actually HD - delighted :D. But after about 2 minutes of viewing the signal froze and then got a message "No Signal" :(. Since then I have not been able to get any signal at all, nothing begin found on the setup scans. Have tried with someone looking at the TV to adjust the angle on the dish slightly to get that 21 degrees horizontal position but no luck either.

Now today has been an exceptionally windy day, with storm like conditions. Not sure if that would have any effect on getting it tuned. But any suggestions on trying to trouble shoot and align it correctly? I'm obviously doing something wrong!!! Thanks.

Get a basic meter for under 20€ and use that to align the dish. A change of 2-3 mm makes all the difference. Any change may take quite a few seconds to show on the box making it much harder to see if you are making the right moves.

Try aligning to 10964 H Channel 5 HD. There are SD channels there as well. That is strongest transponder on my set up.
