    Windows Defender and the free version of MalwareBytes along with not being a complete idiot while browsing should be all you need.

      Yup, what I have on my desktop and HP laptop.
      I presume we are talking about a Windows computer? Does Windows come with Defender? If it doesn't try Avast free antivirus, which is what I have on my Android smartphone.
