Wondering if anyone has had any experience for applying to the Dept of Agriculture. In particular the Serological Assistant role.

I've a degree in Agriculture, though graduated in 2007 with only patchwork experience in the industry due to both the recession and injury forcing me to leave the workforce shortly after leaving college.

Mostly retail experience I have though it is specialised in agri.

Any tips appreciated from anyone who's gone through this or a similiar campaign from the department of Agriculture.

I'd say to speak to any lab or wet work experience you have.

I'm afraid I haven't worked in a role like this, I did my college work experience in the equine centre and did a certain amount of serology work. I think they'll want to know you're good in a lab setting, solid with paper work and with wet work. Could you get a letter of support from any of your lecturers?

    best with it

Applied for this position too, my background is in aquatic science research. Have a fair bit of lab experience but all water quality testing. Would also be interested to hear what the interview process is like for the DAFM.

Did an interview with the LA a few years ago for a technician position and it was a fairly straightforward competence based interview (bar asking if I played gaa because it shows you are a "team player") That question threw me a bit 😂

I would presume the interview for this would be similar.
