    I'm not adverse to the cost for the change, it's just odd that there isn't any clear numbers in the article or any indication like "we estimate to have recouped the cost in just over 3 years"

    Haven't a lot of the lights already been upgraded to LED?

    University Road, Newcastle, Salmon Weir Bridge Area, recently Bothar na dTreadbh....

    yeah, they've been replacing them years bit by bit, this is just their PR folks earning their wages.. personally I like the white light, always found the sodium orange light discomforting
