Funk Jazz Band

Hi all, i am a keyboard/piano player, instruments- Rhodes piano, Hammond organ, Piano, synth, im really interested in getting a tight funk band together with a great funk groove with elements of Jazz and soul, Herbie Hancock, George Duke, James Brown, Bruno Mars etc. Bass player must know how to slap bass and drummer knows to hold down tight 2&4 funk groove.
also cool rhythm Guitar and vocals i drink sleep and eat this music and will handle all promotion work to get the band out giging. So i look forward to hearing from you guys and lets make something special cheers

I'm sorry but I have to comment on this.... Funk/Soul Drummers play on THE ONE.... and certainly not on the 2 & 4
If you 'drink, sleep and eat' this genre of music... that's the first and only rule of funk.... THE ONE
Ask Mr Brown, Clinton or Collins.... none of them could count past ONE...

If all you cool cats are still looking for a singer, would love to make a rehearsal. I can play guitar and keys also where needed - e.g. kool and the gang's stuff often has two rhythm guitar parts e.g. get down on it.

Any excuse for me to wear a sparkly jacket and shiny shoes
