I hope the trolls attacking her are proud of themselves, scumbags.

As expected she rose above it.

What was the nature of the trolling? Was it to do with her promotion of the vaccine?

Not that it really matters, but a couple of them from the documentary.

"This girl doesn't have a clue what she is supporting it is so easy for the system to brainwash people, what would she know lol."

"How could she be so stupid to not go and get a smear, how could she have got herself into this situation."

Her friends also received death threats.

    Absolutely disgusting.

    She said
"It's bollocks"...then said she needs to stop swearing :)

Incredibly moving documentary, a massive credit to her and her amazing family and friends for doing it.

Ah Jesus, that was a heartbreaking piece of television.
She was certainly a remarkable young woman and her family, well to be honest I don't even have words to describe how amazing they are and the bond they had with her.
Some of the footage of her Dad broke my heart.
I assume it was her wish to show herself lying in repose. If it was, I'm glad the family honoured that wish. It was in no way macabre, but was such a powerful image.

And as for the trolls, some of whom will probably read this thread, I don't have words for them either.

Heart breaking to watch. In tears watching it. Cancer is such a rotten disease.

What will tear social media down in the end is the morons who swarm around it. Anyone with anything useful to say will stop using it because of the morons. Then you’ll just be left with the morons.
RIP to this young lady and condolences to her family.

That was so sad , uplifting and moving to watch . Her determination in being A Voice in raising awareness was powerful . Such a beautiful person , inside and out with an amazing family bond .
May she Rest In Peace , and hopefully her wish for the uptake in girls getting the vaccination continues to rise .

It was inspiring and heartbreaking to watch. She was incredibly brave and generous in the way she faced her terminal diagnosis.
I really hope some of the people who posted disgusting remarks on social media watched the programme and felt thoroughly and utterly ashamed of themselves. But maybe I'm hoping for too much.

Sincere sympathies to Laura's family. Her legacy is a wonderful one.

I watched this last night on RTE Player. A very well made documentary. Wouldn't you just want to adopt the dad and bring him home with you, such a sweet funny man. A gorgeous family.

Fair play to her, she's certainly done far more than her fair share in spreading the message about such an important issue. I'm not particularly spiritual, but wherever she is now hopefully she can rest easy knowing that she made a huge difference to the world in her short beautiful life.

Heart breaking. That shot of her in the coffin. What a waste and totally preventable.

This was on TV tonight and I agree with the op. I'm not one to cry watching TV but this moved me. Laura was such a beautiful lady. Maybe she RIP.

I'm ashamed to say but I avoided smears for a decade. I was getting letters from the cervical screening but after watching this tonight I think this will change.

That was a tough watch, but inspiring at the same time. I'm sure that show will save lives in the future.
A really strong young woman, and a credit. Her family should be so proud of what she has achieved.

Pity that it could have been avoidable.

    So so sad.
