An elderly neigjbour tells me she is convinced someone is sneaking into her house when she is not there.

Is there anything simple to use/ discrete/ inexpensive that could be installed?

    Thanks

The ring or nest doorbell cameras are a good start

    Also possibly be careful here

I knew someone who helped out in a similar way, only to end up being blamed by an older woman with some paranoia issues.

Sometimes people make things up and mud sticks !

With that out of the way, something with a feed to the cloud is a good way to review footage and share it without having to enter the persons house.

Needs a wifi network to work though.

Nest, Ring internal and external cameras are good too.

If you want more than one or two a professional install is another good option.
