Hi. Urgent help needed please! I had my CMax serviced today. Got it home fine and locked as usual, now I need to use it and the remote is not working, I have tried the spare key and the same problem. I can open the door with the key manually but that sets the alarm off. The garage (main dealer) who serviced is closed until Monday. I need the car now and most definitely tomorrow. Help!!!

Did you lock the car with remote then open it with the key then alarm went off?

If so, locking the car with the key should stop the alarm, and opening with the key again should not set of the alarm.

Thank you. Managed it however after a quick google.

Rather than starting the vehicle, you will have to turn the key to the run position and back to the locked position several times in a row. If you turn the key to the start position, and the starter engages, you’ve turned it too far.

After opening door with alarm sound in ding followed the following advice and it worked after one turn of the key in the ignition.

‘In the case that your vehicle uses that method of reprogramming, you will typically hear a chime after you have cycled the key several times. You can then press one of the lock or unlock buttons on the remote, after which you should hear the chime a second time.’
