YouTube Premium and still getting ads etc.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I signed up to YouTube premium with a family account, and a few problems I'm having is that the ads are still appearing, in fact you might say that they've increased on me.

Also can't get videos to play in the background, ie if I'm watching a vide and press the home button, the video ceases to play, where as it's supposed to play in the background.

It definitely was working before probably for a week or so, however I don't know what is going on in the meantime I've tried clearing the app signed out, signed in, but nothing it's still the same.

When you're in the app, does it say premium next to the YouTube icon at the top left?

Are you definitely using the correct account in YouTube?

I've had no issues with mine.

Actually, hang on.

I am a YouTube music member, (family account) doesn't that give me automatic access to YouTube premium? I perhaps mistakenly believed it did.

Edit all sorted. Upgraded account to include YouTube premium. :P

I have YouTube Premium and I can't use anyone else's YouTube now because of ads, they take over everything now. I also really like their music service.

Ads have taken over big time.... It's now worse then watching rte.

The ads have destroyed YouTube now tbh, if your not gonna shell out for YouTube premium, go with cracked YouTube.

Before it, I couldn't bear to watch Youtube with all the ads . Now it's a wonderful experience.

I wouldn't feel save logging into Youtube with any modded YouTube app. Yes you get no ads but they have your log in details and what are they getting out of it. It's a free app so how are they making money.

I just wouldn't use it tbh. Yes, it could be perfectly safe but who knows.

I use the car stream app it let's me watch it on my phone or Android Auto. No ads.

Sign up for YouTube premium, I'm paying roughly €2.40 a month for five of us (family account) which gives me access to YouTube premium, Google music and YouTube music.

Use it with a burner Google account if you have privacy concerns.
