Idling higher than usual

Well folks, I’ve got a Seat Leon 1P 1.6 TDI with a back box delete and 4” twin pipes out the back, the car is loud anyway but sometimes when I’m driving all of a sudden it’ll get much louder especially around 1800-2000 rpm and idles about 200-300 rpm higher than normal, but this is a rare occurrence, maybe once every 2 weeks or so. It usually goes away when the engine’s been stopped for an hour roughly. Google seems to say it may be a vacuum leak but would it not be more common if it was?

    Cheers in advance.

    Probaby a DPF regeneration.

Had a quick google of this and had no idea it even existed but judging by the symptoms it’s exactly what it is, cheers
