Samsung UE55RU7100 TV Query

Hi I've a few queries about this TV: 

1) Does this have both a satellite and aerial tuner built in ? Ie. Can I have the UK and Irish channels on it without using an external box.

2) I will probably purchase a matching soundbar in the future, I would like the bar to automatically power on with the TV and the volume to be controllable using the TV remote. Am i limited to Samsung soundbars for this feature ? Does this have to be done through HDMI ARC or does it work through bluetooth or optical.

3) What would the Sterling price be delivered to ROI

Hi RandomUsername,

The UE55RU7100 does not have a satellite tuner, it only has a DVB-T2 terrestrial tuner which will work with free to air Saorview channels in ROI.

The Samsung soundbars do have the Auto Power link feature. This will switch on with a signal from an Optical connection and it will also work through HDMI ARC but via Anynet+.

The best price I would have on the UE55RU7100 including shipping to ROI would be £555.99

I would actually recommend one of the new LG TVs which has a Freeview and a satellite tuner built in. I would have a look at the 55UM7660 at £699 which has the LG ThinQ AI smart hub and a fantastic panel:

You could also look at the LG 55UM7400 which has a satellite tuner and retails at £549. We are currently out of stock but are expecting more in, I just don't have a  ETA at the moment.

The LG soundbars work with a system called LG SoundSync which an auto power link between their TVs and soundbars.

I'll keep an eye out for you for an ETA.

I see this has had a price drop  & the other model hasn't come back into stock, What's the current best price for the 55UM7660  in STG incl. ROI delivery.

The best would be the web listed price of £549 + £6.99 shipping on the 55um7660.
Unfortunately the price drop has removed any margin we had to play with.
