Hi, For building there seems to be a general price per square foot. For the Dublin area does anyone know how much it is? I am going to get a 300 sq ft extension built over the garage and just wondering what prices to expect per sq foot. Any ideas??? Thanks

    €130 - €150 per sq foot

Don't be hasty to use a per square foot calculation.

The type of job you are talking about is a prime example of a job that will prob not follow norms.

To build over the garage you will need to be sure the foundations below are sound and up to current spec to carry 2 storeys.
Make sure there is an engineer involved
Only way you will find out the real price is getting quotes off builders... with drawings.

Exactly. The foundations may have been poured specifically to support the garage in which case you cannot build a second story on it because the foundations wouldnt be able to support the weight.
