Damp on walls

Hi all, hoping for some advice. I recently moved into a very old house which appears to have some damp on the walls of the extension which is built onto the kitchen. The extension roof consisted of 5 single panes of glass which made the kitchen freezing. I changed the glass for double glazing and got the builder to repair the lead flashing around the frame where the roof windows sit. I had assumed that this lead flashing was failing and that was causing the dampness on the wall but it doesnt seem to have improved at all. After cooking or 1st thing in the morning, the walls can be seen to be visibly wet (even though I have an extractor fan which works). Some damp seems to be coming from the ground while other patches seems to be isolated in the middle of the wall. Builder who repaired the roof doesnt seem to know, said he hasn't seen anything like it. Anybody have any idea about this ? Or could anyone recommend a good damp removal company ? At a loss at this stage !
