Need to buy a 12 ft timber field gate. Got a quote off Standish this morning for €450 incl vat. Two gate posts will set me back €120 on top of this

    Any cheaper alternatives out there

There's a plastic composite that looks like timber out there too.

Ploughing match would be a good place to compare them all.
They usually do deals on the stock they have at the site or if you're on the route of a back load from their base to the ploughing match site they might knock some off.
