Thinking of downgrading from Nissan Qashqai to a smaller car but want to keep height. Hate the juke. What other brands would you recommend for smaller car with height? I need space for 2 small dogs back seat & also giving lifts to elderly people hence the height requirement. Thanks a mill. Low running costs & reliable have used diesel for last 10 years. Toyota hybrid probably out of price range

What is the price range? Suzuki vitara may suit? Bmw X1 is a good shout, my sister in law has one and finds it great but try and go auto if possible.

22 a23 k price range. Don’t need the size anymore but I hate low cars.

Renault Captur is the Juke's less ugly sister.

Can I ask why you want a smaller car, and also what the budget is?

The wife has a Kia Venga, and first time passengers always comment on how much room there is, inside it.

Have a look at the Kia Niro. A friend bought one and I have to say it was very impressive for what it is. Hybrid and auto, she loves it.

Honda hrv plenty of room in the inside, has a big boot and Honda magic seats too. It's actually pretty much the same exterior size as a qashqai but doesn't feel as bulky to drive.

Small, high, frugal, cheap to run, much bigger inside than you think. It's a Suzuki, so it should be reliable...the Ignis. Well under budget too.

Ford Fiesta active any thoughts? Reservations on height but safety mark is good

Everything is safe nowadays. Fiesta Active is just a fiesta with ever so slightly higher suspension.

    Seat Arona

Renault Captur is the Juke's less ugly sister.

It was a Corkman designed the Juke, he must've been blind drunk at the time, what I find baffling is that people actually buy them.

There are a handful of cars about the place that have designs that always remind me of that episode of the Simpson's were Homer designs a car. The Juke being one of them. And the Renault Modus.

Which is mad when the likes of Citroen/DS can throw out cars that have mad styling, but they make them look so sophisticated and cool, rather than eye-gougingly horrendous.
