Septic tank submersible pump

    Hi all,

Our submersible pump in our septic tank seems to be on all the time. I can hear it running constantly. Is this normal? Also it’s not standing up but lying on its side at the bottom. I assumed it should only engage when float rises to top with water level. We’ve tried to get it to stand up but it just keeps falling to the side.

Should I just leave well enough alone?

I’m sure if it stood up the float switch would work like it’s supposed to. Who’s going to stand it up though that’s the question. :)
