    Hi,
I am converting a road bike to a leisure bike.
By that I really just mean that I want to change the handlebars fropm the classic drop bar to the dutch style and I want to get a seat stem with suspension at some stage.

Can I just replace a 10 speed STI with a 10 speed trigger shifter?

If this is dooable, would you mind recommending on for my bike?

    Thanks for any help!!

Have to agree, it's very doable but when you add in the cost of shifters, cables, bars, seat post, time etc. Onto a bike that was designed for, well, not that, ie you may want to sell it straight anyway in the end.

I would sell it as is and buy a hybrid that you want and is built for what you want.
