Slippery Driveway

    Hello,

I am in the process of buying a house which has a very steep tarmac driveway (maybe 45 degrees). Was wondering if there is any cheap solution to stop the car from slipping on it during winter. Is there any mats or something like that would give grip? All I found on the internet is heated Mats but they are quite pricey and seem more for use in snowy countries.

Appreciate any help you can give

    Thanks

Rough gravel would give you grip, but would be a PITA for the 360 days a year we don't have frost/ice.

The only real way to stop slipping is to stop freezing and that's by applying salt or other antifreezes.

    Install underfloor heating maybe?
