Bit of a long shot but I'm looking for any witnesses or dashcam footage from an accident on the kirwan (menlo hotel) roundabout last Friday 6/9/19....

At approx 12:20/30 in the afternoon my wife was rear ended by a skip hire truck as she approached the roundabout from headford road.
Thankfully no one is injured but the car is badly damaged.
The driver of the truck left the scene and she couldn't get any details from him. It was a white skip truck with a green skip, no markings on it so most likely not connected to any of the big companies.

If anyone saw anything that can help, The reg of the truck would be ideal.

    Thanks

The gardai will be able to get access to the cameras in the area. Hopefully they'll follow it up for you

She reported it to the gardai and they said there's not much they can do....
Don't think there are cameras in the area

Sounds more like a lazy gardai. Dunnes the esso galway retail park are 3 for examples. Once you enter the major urban area of the city you are on camera

They may have captured the truck leaving the scene?

There are not many skip hire companies I'd call into all of them, you never know they might be aware of it and not have details either. There is a waste company on the headford rd that might be a good start as they fit the description of the lorry and their base is out the headford rd..

Other skip companies may know about its colour and what company it might be?

What way did the truck drive off? There are some camera on the Curraghline and it was most likely going to the dump out that way.
