    1. I am awaiting to get connected to the public mains for months. Why there is such a delay?

    Please PM us with the following details and a member of our team will look into this for you.

    - Your full name;
    - Contact number;
    - Full address of the property;
    - Application reference; and
    - Date of application.

    2. I have had no water in either tap for over 24 hours now, can you please help?

    We're very sorry to hear this and thank you for highlighting this matter.

    Can you PM us the following information and a member of our team will look into this for you?

    - Name;
    - Contact number;
    - Full address; and
    - If your neighbours are affected.

    3. I am unable to view the metered water usage for my premises; can you advise why?

    If you have an Irish Water meter attached to your property and if your account was set up after it was installed, you should be able to view your usage via our online account management. You can log on here through our website.

    If this is no longer available on your account, we will be happy to look into this for you. Would you be able to PM us the following details?

    - Name;
    - Contact number;
    - Account number; and
    - WPRN.

    4. Can I temporarily disconnect the supply at the outside my property?

    In order to turn off your supply from the public mains to your property, you can switch your supply off using the outside stop valve located in your meter box.

    Once the works are complete you can turn back on your supply, as the outside stop valve is on publicly accessible land.

    5. Can you please advise if the water in Swords Co. Dublin is hard/very hard/soft?

    As hard water has no associated health risks, we do not measure for levels of water hardness in specific areas.

    More information about water hardness can be found here.

    If you would like to get your water tested to check if you have hard water, you can find a list of accredited testing facilities here.
