It's that time again to start thinking about heat...
I have an indoor Grant oil boiler (about 25 years old) with a bentone burner (about 15 years old) ..I don't know why it's that way.
There's ten rads (6 double and 4 single ) in a two story house.
While the boiler/burner is working away it does take a good while for the rads to heat up and some don't really get very hot at all.
Is it time to upgrade and if so what make should I get...
What would be the approx cost to replace including labour in dublin.
    Thanks..

grant vortex would be my recommendation

as for cost I don't know its something you would need to discuss with a plumber on site

just make sure pump is changed as well as part of the job

Saves 30% on fuel in my humble experience of fitting them.
    So
    Replace.

Your rads could be full with sludge which is why they aren't heating. You might have to consider a bit more than just a boiler change.
