I have been a manager of different teams/department functions over 6 years and in roles where I am progressing/learnings new skills.

However, I am still young and find myself making mistakes in my managerial career and continuously learning.

I am interested to read advice from senior and tenured managers from different Industries.

I am interested to hear your best lessons or learnings experiences from your managerial career that you could share to help myself and others in our careers.

It could be experiences in planning, decision making, difficult conversation, people skill and communication tips, juggling a busy operation/role, constructive feedback, negotiations, team morale building, delegation skills and so on.

Pick a solid & loyal “wingman” / “lieutenant” to support your career progress and bring them up with you.

You can teach anything technical, recruit & headhunt “team players” who each bring something to the “Team”, Creative, innovative, social skills, solid follower(s). Empower them and you have the making of a high performance team.

Challenge the process / status quo - Find better & innovative ways of doing your task or mission. Never sit still, always plan 6,12 & 18 months ahead.

Don’t be afraid of using specialist consultants if your team does not have the knowledge.
