Having family christening next month and need to book somewhere around town for group of 20 of us. Will be a Sunday around 4 clock and our original choice park house not open for dinners until 6 and lunches finish up at 3:30. Where would people advise. Have heard that Mc swegans is gone downhill a lot recently since being bought over by owners of FX Buckley in Dublin.

    Would appreciate any suggestions

Blake's are pretty good for food

Flannery’s maybe? Been at a few functions there and was pretty good.

I came into the thread to post park house but that’s obviously not a runner.

The brasserie on Eglinton street. Excellent and reasonably priced. Staff are decent amd Service is quick in a not too formal type of way

Just so you know Brassiere is a Bra. Brasserie on the Corner and Blake's are indeed one and the same though.

We had the christening for our baby back in January/February. We booked the Francis room in the Menlo Park hotel.

Not exactly "in around town" but that for us was a bonus as it wasn't as crazy. The food was lovely and we thought the price was reasonable. Similar size attendance also.
