Body repairs and paint issue. How long should a shop guarantee work?

    Hey all,
So I had a lot of work carried out on an ‘02 Jag about 2 years ago. Almost a full body respray and a couple of dents taken out. Used a reputable body shop and the work cost thousands.

Recently I’ve spotted some rust bubbles coming through at the base of the rear wheel arches and rust around the wheel arch lip.. It’s a tricky spot on these jags as there’s a lip there than can collect crud.

I keep the car in a mostly covered garage and maintain it very well.

Just wondering if I would have any ammo on a guarantee claim with the place that did the work? It’s obvious to me that they didn’t treat this area. Just painted down around the exterior of the lip. They were asked to make sure any rust was treated.

Not sure I’ll get anywhere with them or even if I’d be entitled to.

Aside from that could anyone recommend a trustworthy body shop south Dublin or north Wicklow?

I’m also looking for a trustworthy Indy for some maintenance work as my old garage closed down not so long ago.

    Cheers
    G

Well worth trying, a rusting re-spray after two years in hardly fit for purpose.

Can recommend Drivers in North Wicklow, last job was flawless and cheap, a rare combination.

Treating rust on body panels means cutting out all the rust and welding in new metal and protecting the new metal immediately. Anything else is a stop gap.
