Bath 4:00 - Small ew bet on About Glory at 22/1 in this one. Wretched recent form, but this is a very poor race and About Glory was a previous winner over distance on good to firm ground. Interesting that in-form Marquand who won on it then gets the ride again tomorrow. Horse has been nibbled a little in from 25s, so perhaps someone is confident of a better ride tomorrow.

Gowran 5:35 - Feel that West Coast Time at 15/2 might be worth a small bet here. Was good enough to run in a Cheltenham bumper two years ago which arguably makes it the most proven horse over the trip tomorrow. Recent form less impressive, but had the benefit of a good finish in a charity race on Sunday. Should go better tomorrow without the benefit of troublesome obstacles to jump. Really hate the stable, but the run of Thosedaysaregone last time out at Killarney looked like blatant schooling to me. Despite being given no race at all, it wasn't disgraced at all considering it ran against a 100 rated Stratum. Cannot catch this rogue though, so would be sickened if it beat West Coast Time.

    2.35 Gowran park
Ocean air got his head back in front at Hamilton after plummeting down the weights and is up 6lb but that could be a lot fairer than it might look on paper as I think he won snug enough.
Jockey unknown to me rides it and takes 4lb off, I'd usually be weary of something like this but I got the impression an inexperienced jockey mightn't be too much of a hindrance as the horse did his best work under tender handling the last time.
Should be plenty of pace to aim at and I can see this boy getting up late on under hands and heels.
    Here's hoping.

Big bet for me on Filament Of Gold in 3pm race at Bath, frustrating sort but firm ground round Bath suits well and going to win one of these soon and fav looks very opposable after being well beaten in 2nd at short price last time

Well my biggest bet of the day runs in the first race of the day.

1.40 Southwell, Royale Django, around 11/8 on the exchange right now. I've been backing it to win for the last hour or so. I think now that the horse has won it will win a few on the bounce. The only negative it's a 3m chase, but the horse jumps well and I'll be surprised if it doesn't win eased won by 5 or 6 lengths.

Looks like there is a few nice opportunities there today to make a few bob, good luck to anyone betting today.

Hi GOAT, quick question, why does it take an hour or so for you to back a horse?

Hi GOAT, quick question, why does it take an hour or so for you to back a horse?

8/10 I will only back on betfair and the early market is not liquid so means feeding in small money. I don't do it all the time, I only do it if I feel the early price will be better than the off price. I'm my opinion I think the price will get shorter on the said horse so I backed it early. A lot of the time I will wait til just right before the off though. Everyone will have their own way of doing it, that just happens to be the way I do it.

    Didn't go according to plan

    2 more bets lined up
2.40 Southwell, Jaxlight, around 6/4. Backed this to win. Hopefully will get the job done. I can't see anything to give it a race, in the race.

I have one account only. It was Mostly Harmless who had the multiple accounts and he's still here posting under a different nick name.

    Final bet

3.10 Southwell Double Court, around 7/4 won't be beaten.

    I'm out.

Why does everyone think everyone is somebody else, weird. Have you spent an hour backing this one?
