I’m replacing the trap on my upstairs sink after I found a leak in the old one! The new trap is exact same as old one but no matter what it keeps on leaking at the top bit at the screw on pvc connection!
    Any ideas

    That’s where it keeps leaking

Could it be leaking where the grate goes through the sink and running down on the threads?

Is there a rubber seal between the black and white bits ?
Sorry I cant see from Pic.
    New seal ?

You have abviously tightened the coupling, but is the joint tight afterwards ?
Is the dirt on the threads preventing the joint tightening fully?

After all that, it looks really just piss poor quality. Bring it back.
