    Can't help with day trips, was there only 2 nights.
    I stayed at the Meliá Palma Marina, which is on the seafront, a few bus stops from the city centre (The airport bus stops right there as well). The Auditorium concert venue is in walking distance.
    The Cathedral and old town are charming, I also enjoyed popping in the covered market "Mercat de l'Olivar".

    A trip to Soller on the wooden train is a must. Meant to visit Port Soller as well but there was a massive thunderstorm.

    Went to the markets in Inca and had a day in Alcudia as well.
