Missus car (05 Corolla bought on Bangernomics thread) failed the nct Friday on serious front and rear axle imbalance and is making some very worrying noises at times when driving and particularly when turning.
Looking for a good trustworthy mechanic in Naas area to have a look at give us an idea of the cost of getting it thru the nct.
    Cheers.

He’s been very honest with me. Healys are fine so long as it’s nothing too complicated but can be pricey if it beyond tires and exhaust.

I'd avoid them for any other than tyres

Will see what this corolla costs to fix.
It seems like it was well looked after aesthetically but not in terms of wear and tear items. Hopefully nothing serious, in hindsight I wish I'd bought something else but it was for the missus and wanted something reliable after a temperamental megane.

Ended up using this garage, found them honest and trustworthy.
Would have no problem using them again. Thanks for the recommendation.
