Hi, I'm thinking of trying a bit of miniature painting, any suggestions on the best places to pick up paints/brushes etc?

Any particular types of figures? Warhammer?

Id probably check out the Gamesworkshop kits that have a few paints in there, Vallejo are good too and Army Painter seem a popular brand.
Get brushes on Amazon and some primer from Halfords or B&Q

I always found Games Workshop to be very expensive for that kind of thing. I would also recommend the army painter series. If you are in Dublin you could check out Gamers World on Jervis Street they do a couple of different ranges of paints.
