Before you make a turn, do you indicate then brake or brake then indicate?

If a mod could put up a poll, that would be much appreciated.

I treat braking and indicating as entirely separate functions! And anyway, i just do both randomly, you know to keep it interesting for other road users:D

What really boils my piss though is the fúckers who indicate right, then left on a roundabout when what they are actually doing is going straight. You don't indicate to go straight you fúcktards!

Indication is used to tell people what you are about to do, so it should be the first thing when changing directions = indicate, then brake.

Indicate first. Always indicate, its not optional.

Bar indicating left when you're exiting the roundabout. I think the reason for this is that they have been told to view the roundabout as if it was a normal junction (with regards to indicating). Turning left? Indicate left! Turning right? Indicate right! Going straight? Well, no need to indicate of course!

You indicate left when leaving a roundabout, even if going straight on.

Hit the brake, turn on the right indicator, swerve right, turn on the left indicator, make left turn

Sorry Stevie, its up to you to identify correct speed to merge safely, its nice if the vehicles on main road pull to second lane etc. BUT your merge should not interfere with the traffic on the main road. If other vehicles have to slow or adjust their speed you've failed. Also you had to "go in to hard shoulder where there are three cyclists" - you did not have to do this, your driving is to blame here, be humble and admit it please.

My problem is that i had sufficient space to merge but the artic driver sped up to not allow me too, besides that i'd agree with what your saying

    PS
I drive a brand of car that may have had the driver say "fcuk em"

Imagine all the people annoyed at you not indicating properly at a roundabout, and you just ignorantly sailing through.

I used to wonder if people like you actually knew how to use a roundabout, but just weren’t bothered. Nah, you just never bothered learning properly.

Fair play Stevie, thats a bit different, I hate when you are on motorway and some stays in the overtaking lane at a slower speed and I go down the inside (admittedly not correct) and they suddenly start speeding up!

Agree on the brand of car having an effect! Had a gs300 lexus before (also it was red) and had trouble getting people to let you out from side roads.

Have a nissan leaf now and get lots of help!

Funnily enough its not to do with price of car, I know myself I have let out Aston Martins just to get a look at them and hear the burble.

and he comes on here then , complaining about people not indicating correctly and then lets us all know he can't do it correctly himself

See a lot of people only indicating mid turn. They obviously favour the smooth movement achieved by flicking the indicator with their finger as their hands pass it on the wheel.

And the bumpy movement that follows when they run over an unwitting pedestrian.

I also leave ample space when on a gradual hill when there is slow moving traffic. My reasoning for this is the fear of some doghnut rolling unable to balance the throttle clutch but my gripe with this is d!ckheads beeping me to move closer regardless of the fact it's not going to get you home any quicker

I should really be an F1 driver ;)

And also to those who indicate to go right on a roundabout when there is no right exit, only left and straight

Yeh you're right but it sounds like you're wrong haha. You indicate when exiting the roundabout therefore you do indicate at some point when going straight. But when entering the roundabout to go straight, one should not indicate.

Partially correct, if taking the 2nd exit (assuming a normal 4 roundabout) you don't indicate when entering the roundabout but you always indicate left when leaving the roundabout.
