Hi all, looking for some help please. Been farming at home with the parents for 10 years part time as well as working. Recently bought some land myself which will be used with the home farm that's still in my parents name till I get it changed over in the next 12 months or so. Anyway to get stamp duty exemption on my land I have to do a business plan and submit a certificate for it.
Can anyone who has done this point me in the right direction. Much appreciated!

Your best bet would be to contact Teagasc or a private farm consultant and they should be able to sort you out. They would have a lot of experience in dealing with similar in the past.

To be honest this all sounds a little scarier than it actually is. In the last 2 months I have taken over the business I previously worked for. Had to secure funding from the bank to fulfil the purchase price. For this I had to provide a 3 year business plan which at first frightened the lifr out of me !. In fairness once you dont show crazy rises in your income projections over the coming years and work on a constant projected percentage increase all should pass ok.
I would imagine you will find plenty of similiar sample business plans on line but as mentioned shouldn't be no problem for your advisor.
