I have got the horn for a 2017/18 BMW 240i coupe auto from the UK.
Savagely quick car but my mate said it looks like a hairdressers car and now this is putting me off.

Any thoughts on the cars looks or any thoughts in general on the car appreciated.

If you like it why do you need other peoples approval?
If its fun to drive go for it.

First thing to do is don't listen to your mate.

    I don't think there was a 240i, I presume you're talking about the M240i?

Have a watch of this video, the youtuber is a real BMW head and gives a good review of these cars.

Sorry, yes I mean the M240i.
2018 models can be got for around 25k sterling. VRT likely to be around €13-14k.

Go a year or 2 older and get equivalent 3 or 4 series if you're worried about image, it's certainly on your mind if you're posting here. A 2 series wouldn't be my cup of tea I prefer 5 series type cars but I'd be very happy to be in a 340i or a 440i no problem.
If you genuinely like the 2 series go for it I'd say its a cracker with that much power in a small car.

We recently changed a 1 series (much the same thing) for a 4 series and I have to say from a driving fun point of view it was a downgrade. They are cracking little cars. I drove an M2 comp and M4 comp back to back during the summer and the M2 just blew me away compared to the faster M4. Go for it!
