A friend of mine is interested in rewatching any of these 3 series. Does any channel show them now on Sky and equivalent? I know Bergerac and The Sweeney can be got on DVD not sure about The Bill?

The Bill is on W channel. Available on Eir TV channel 109, not sure if it is available on any other TV providers.

Lots of Bill episodes between both Dailymotion and YouTube. Pretty sure you'll get most of the 80s stuff easily enough.

Network have released some of The Bill - up as far as 1990. So that's the first three series (50 minute episodes) plus 169 of the 25 minute episodes. A long way to go and nothing since 2015.

As is so often the case with UK / US series, the Aussies do it better. There are two different types of Australian releases:

The first was from Magna who released sets in 48 episode wallets. I bought all of these. By the time they reached the 1990 episodes they got hit by the 2008 financial crisis and went out of business.

The second was Shock who took over the licence not long after the show had finished in the UK in 2010, and decided to release each year as a series and got through the entire run. However their licence expired and a lot of them are OOP and quite expensive.

ITV4 are currrently showing The Sweeney at 6pm (repeated the following morning at 10.20am) weekdays.

Tomorrows 10.20am repeat is series 3 episode 4 Tomorrow Man which guest stars George Cole and John Hurt.

Bergerac is regularly repeated on the Drama channel. Most recently last June.
