Zoned Central Heating.

    Looking for advice.

I currently have an single circuit central heating systems. i.e. when the boiler is turned on, it heats everything (all rads, back boilder, water tank).

I am doing a renovation, and I want to zone the heating properly (Up/Down/Water), and replace boilder and all rads.

Is there any benefit to running new pipe to physically zone the system (this would require digging/lifting floorboards etc.), but now is the time to do this, as the house is undergoing other works.

    Or....

Are Smart thermostat systems (Honeywell Evohome) just as good?
