yep done that, with a grinder, a strimmer (shot about 10m up the drive) and a chainsaw, was running the chainsaw without the chain after fixing something on it and when I switched it off the sprocket kept going the bolt dropped off and the sprocket shot off the side of the saw across the drive and off into a field.

tbh nothing spectacular with the grinder I stopped quickly after realising I hadn't tightened the nut fully and when it stopped the nut kept going and the disk and the nut fell off but no high speed action.

My personal best, with a grinder, was when I was kneeling down, working on something on the floor in front of me. Bit of disc ~ or something ~ shot off. Ye can guess the rest.

Didn't half make my eyes water! :o

No one handed grinding! Takes no effort to fix a piece of wood across the piece you are working on and screw it down tight.

Bought a special disc, one time. For doing hooves?

My back's shot, couldn't life the donkeys leg like a Farrier would. Had to kneel down beside him and rest his foot on my thigh. Holding it still with one hand as I used this nasty, spiky, hoof material stripping grinder wheel in the other.

Grinder slipped and kicked! That made my bloody eyes water too!
